In this standard, the migration limits of arsenic, cadmium, lead, chromium, and nickel, five heavy metals in stainless steel products, are restricted under specific measurement methods. The 304 stainless steel that we are familiar with, even if it is a food grade stainless steel, can be used to make ordinary prescription loose parts. In addition, there is also 316 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel has a higher nickel content than 304, so its corrosion resistance is better. In addition, other elements are added during the production process. Therefore, this 316 stainless steel is mainly used in the food industry or surgical equipment. When purchasing stainless steel tableware or other kitchen utensils, we must carefully check whether they are labeled as 304 or 316. Do not purchase other types of stainless steel, especially inferior stainless steel, which may contain some heavy metal elements and pose a great threat to our health.
